This scanner was advertised for exactly this purpose. Most of the images on this page are reduced in size; to see the originals, click on the image in Canon CanoScan 9900F with the mouse. Summary Briefly, this scanner does not do the job I bought it to do.
I have tried to get Canon to fix it or supply documentation so that I can fix it myself. They have done neither.

After many attempts to solve the problem, I have given up and am returning the unit. This means that I am looking for a new scanner.
