In my tests, using the Netflix app was somewhat disappointing. Again, if this device were truly portable, I'd be more forgiving, but my laptop has a bigger screen with higher resolution and better speakers.

You could argue that not everyone wants to drag a laptop everywhere, but I'd rather use a tablet than the Dash. One thing the Dash does really well: It's a fantastic alarm clock.
Like the successful Sony franchise, the Dream Machine, the Dash seems optimized to wake you up and make the whole often-miserable process more enjoyable.
